"18 months, 12.000 kilometers and more than 130 wineries visited…. I have discovered Argentina Wine Country in a way that I wish everybody could.
The passionate and professional people I have met, the astonishing products I have tasted, the vineyards I have walked in, confirmed, more than I could imagine, the amazing potential of Argentina and the quality of the wines they are creating.
Now, it is time for me, and AWTC team, to spread the word to the consumers and to make these wines available to a much larger audience. That is our Mission"
This engagment was the baseline for Raoul Beaumaine to create in 2011 The Argentine Wine Trading Company (AWTC).
With the idea to use these 4 main ingredients to succeed in this Mission:
1. Local Presence: adding value in helping wineries promote locally the name beyond what a traditional importer would do
2. Direct to Consumer: promotion to the trade is necessary but not anymore sufficient these days; what is needed is to promote directly to consumers, directly reachable through many mediums, yes electronic, but more to the point, in person.
3. Services: professional structure with established processes to guarantee quality and service to the wineries and the customers.
4. Power of Portfolio: The power of a “large winery” composed with small family-owned producers from Argentina and also from all south-american great wine countries such as Chile, Uruguay, Brazil.
